Thanks for joining up guys!

I know there's not much to talk about at the moment with the hype from the last book having died down, but I was thinking of sponsoring a re-read of the first book as I've seen on the ASOIAF forums?

Site looks pretty sweet. I'd be up for a chapter-by-chapter reread once everyone's settled in.

In the interests of full disclosure, the majority of this theme is the work of the author of the "ThorLargeX" template. I've simply modified a few images and headers to ad in some Locke artwork :)

good to find a forum with out the bots that "the right people" has. might kick off a few topics

"I'm only good at breaking people; I don't put them back together" - Jean Tannen
"Surely you boys can do simple sums, one plus one equals don't fuck with me." - Jean Tannen

Just found this one, after just finding The Right People forum and discovering it was mostly abandoned. I'm hoping this one has better luck! Finished RSuRS recently after I'd randomly picked up LoLL at the bookstore and devoured it. They were both wonderful!

My only wish was that it had stayed more like the first half of Lies. My favorite parts were in the beginning seeing the Gentleman Bastards work as a team together. Now that it's just Locke and Jean, it's still wonderful, but I miss that group scenario and camaraderie that gave it that "Ocean's Eleven" kind of feel to it.

Well thanks for the forum creation! I'll poke around and see if I can't contribute to it!

You make a good point, quix, and I remember I briefly had the same feelings. Fortunately, Lynch is such an accomplished author, that he has kept the high level of the series despite this self-imposed "handicap."

And at some point, we will get those two novellas that feature the earlier escapades of the entire group.
